Roald Amundsens home Uranienborg

"Uranienborg" rests peacefully by the shores of the Oslo fjord at Svartskog, outside Oslo. This was Roald Amundsen’s home for 20 years, until he disappeared in 1928. Today you can explore mementos from his expeditions - and his private life. "Uranienborg" is a museum where Amundsen himself has gathered the collection, which gives you a unique insight to the life of one of the greatest polar explorers in history.

"Uranienborg" is State property and Follo Museum/MiA is responsible for maintaining the museum.
