The Salmon – Science Centre

The Salmon is a restaurant and educational institution devoted to spreading knowledge about Norwegian salmon farming and Norwegian salmon as a product.

Located centrally on Tjuvholmen, in the harbour of Oslo, the science centre shows the whole process of salmon farming – from roe to the finished product. There is also a section devoted to its historical development as well as the rules and regulations salmon farmers have to follow. A live stream from Lovund in the north of Norway lets the visitor observe what is going on at a salmon farm, both under water and above it.
