Spending the day at Frognerseteren is a unique experience with all it's history and our unique rooms with open fireplaces and fantastic view of Oslo. We can welcome groups of all sizes for meetings and dinners.

Frognerseteren preserves old Norwegian food traditions, using only the best Norwegian seasonal ingredients.

Our a la carte restaurant Finstua is situated in the front of the building and with all it's windows, we  can offer the best view in the city. Enjoy your meal while the surroundings create a lovely atmosphere and our waiters provide you with good service.

In our cafeteria "Seterstua", we serve Norwegian traditional food of high quality. You can always find Norwegian meatballs and sour cream porridge served with air cured meat in the cafe. This is perfect for an informal dinner or lunch and a nice way to experience Norwegian hiking traditions.

At Frognerseteren we often welcome different groups with both national and international guests. Whether it is to celebrate Christmas, enjoy a nice dinner or other occasions, we can offer private rooms for groups and companies and we are happy to help planning your evening to your preferences.

The restaurant is an intimate dining place with a spectacular view from all the tables. The tables are set with white table cloths, proper napkins and lit with candles in silver chandeliers. We recommend that our guests reserve a table in the restaurant. Frognerseteren - a house with traditionsAt Frognerseteren we have long traditions to take care of. These go all the way back to the end of the 19th century. These were times when we got the game and fish delivered directly to our doorstep by the hunter and fishermen themselves. The kitchen could unfold themselves with fresh ingredients directly from nature.
Our kitchenOur chef proudly continues the heritage, and has as an ambition to continue the old Norwegian food traditions. The staff in the kitchen has taken up the old preparation methos such as salting, smoking and pickling of food, commonly used to preserve the food during winter. To prepare the food from scratch gives inspiration and developes creativitiy to combine the old and the modern kitchen. At Frognerseteren you  can experience a traditional dish with and exciting new touch based on the traditional preparation methods. Our professional kitchen picks the best of what the nature can offer in the different seasons. We change our menus according to the season.
